hello world! today was a pretty good day! i went out with my sister's friends, got ced's bike pipe, which he's been pleading about for a month or so and when we got home, i finally made some puto! i always wanted to make some since i love eating them!! they're so soft and it's just heaven in my mouth. now that we have a steamer, i can do more filipino delicacies! weewoowaaa!!! i love making them since i've always been a fan of filipino desserts. i remember i'd always ask my lola to get some bibingka, puto, pichi pichi etc. before we ride the tricycle home whenever we go to the palengke in the weekend. i always think about those days as inspiration for baking <3

well actually, i've been enjoying my time in the kitchen this past few months. i like cooking for my fam and of course, i always get "SARAP!! GOOD JOB!!" so i continue and think of more recipes to do :) so far, i made california roll, palitaw, binatog, mochiko bibingka, new york style cheesecake and today is puto day!

to be honest, although my ultimate dream is to have my own bakeshop or just a cupcake business, i haven't baked cupcakes in my life. for one, it's cause i don't really have the materials for it. i don't have the frosting thingy to style it with. i want to invest in a good stand mixer -- kitchen aid one is 299!-- frosting decorators (?) and just a lot of flour and sugar LOL! i know i can make good cupcakes! just an intuition :P

i'm planning to serve milkshakes as well and stuff like booster juice type of drinks. i think it'll be a hit in the summer and i plan it to be just beside a school or in a mall or something!! i'm super excited!!! wowowee!! i dont know but i have this picture in my head that i'll be retiring early from being a speech pathologist -- if i get in haha, keeping my fingers and toes crossed for that!-- and simply just bake for children's parties and possibly weddings? haha, i dream too much, don't i? well, every success story starts with a dream, right? and it's not wrong to dream, wala naman bayad!! LOL!

thank God for a wonderful day, weather and company from friends! i love where i am right now and i can't ask for more. thanks for my job too! i love work and it's not that stressful!! <3
